1. The Brazos County Democratic Party supports groups and individuals who work toward goals outlined in the Texas Democratic Party Platform. These groups must support equal opportunity for all Texans, quality public education, safer homes and neighborhoods, affordable healthcare, civil rights, preservation of natural resources, support of small business and workers, recognition of the rights of workers to organize and the separation of church and state.
   1. Donations/gifts may go to entities which
      1. are non-profit (must have 501(c) (3) or have a recognized charitable status)
      2. are available to all Brazos County residents
      3. support goals of the Texas Democratic Party
      4. will provide long-term and sustainable results for people in Brazos County

   2. Donations/gifts may not go to entities which
      1. are not tax-exempt
      2. are religious or ethnic in nature unless these entities are open to everyone regardless of sex, race, creed, sexual orientation or religion.
      3. are outside of Brazos County

2. Requests must be submitted in writing at least 45 days before the funds are needed to allow time for the Executive Committee to discuss and vote on the request. Groups must supply the following:
   1. Must have written statement of purpose that shows support for the principles of the Democratic Party.
   2. Must submit specific goals and needs to Executive Committee.
   3. Must be approved by Executive Committee.

3. Exceptions
   1. The County Executive Committee at the request of the County Chair may decide to allocate funds if it will promote (advertise) the local party (such as a permanent marker) and does not exceed $50.
   2. Funds must be available.
