From Ray Mc Murrey, Candidate for U.S. Senate
Ray received The Eagle’s endorsement this weekend. Way to go Ray.
As our campaign rolls on, we've been gaining support throughout the state. Texans are looking for the voice of change in this election, and I am that voice.
In fact, after a debate last week with my main opponent, the press unanimously declared it a victory for me.
Paul Burka, editor of Texas Monthly, declared the debate a clear win for me.
Lee Nichols, of the Austin Chronicle, similarly pointed out that I am the strongest voice for reform in the race against John Cornyn.
And the Bryan/College Station Eagle endorsed me as the best candidate to beat John Cornyn.
We can all agree that John Cornyn is wrong for Texas. Now it's time to work to elect the candidate with the strongest progressive message for Texans, and I believe that I offer such a message.
The time for platitudes is over. It's time we elected a candidate with specific policy positions that will move Texan -- and American -- working families forward.
I look forward to your support in the coming primary, and urge you to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or comments.
Thank you,
Ray McMurrey
